History

In 1963 three siblings decided to try to apply their family’s farming culture to the recipes of the home bakery that they founded…

Antonio, Gianluigi and Rosina founded the “Luzzi Antonio Bakery”, offering their customers the typical old recipes of their family and the local territory, continuing to produce them just as had been done at home.

They began hand-production of the famous “Ferrara ring cakes” which they distributed to shops all over the North of Italy, though still remaining faithful to their country tradition.

This decision brought them a fair amount of success, encouraging them to persevere in the years that followed, until Rosina took over the small bakery in the Seventies and continued activity under the name “Luzzi Rosina bakery”.

Today I, Gianni, and my sister Tiziana, are trying to keep up the old Ferrara traditions, integrating them with new dietary habits and the rediscovery of the oldest ingredients, all under the critical eye of our mother Rosina who ensures that quality and workmanship are always of the highest level.
